Jagger was sitting alone at the bar of the Recovery Room,
lost in his own
thoughts. He took casual note as a lovely brunette sat
down beside him, but
was quickly consumed by thoughts again.
Karen had come by the station to see someone named Julie,
a suspected serial
killer, who happened to be her friend and he'd just narrowly
missed a face-to-
face with her. He knew that sooner or later, there would
be a face to face.
Originally, he'd wanted to win her back, but news traveled
fast in Port
Charles, and news said that Karen was engaged to a Dr.
Joe Scanlon.
He was so lost in his own thoughts that he accidentally
knocked his drink
over, spilling it on the bar... and the brunette's sleeve.

Bobbie was dressed in a nice, sea green dress. She opened
the door to see a
smiling Jerry Jacks.
"You know," he started. "Not too many women ask for such
truths so early on in
a relationship."
"I'm just smart that way. Experience speaks volumes." She commented.
"Hmm..." Jerry commented something, thinking. He nodded
after a moment.
"Ready?"
"Where are we going?" Bobbie asked as she grabbed her purse.
"You'll see."
"You still didn't answer my questions." She told him.
"I will." He said with a sigh. "If it's a story about
my life you want to
hear, you'll hear it."
~~
Ned glanced out the window, still waiting. It was after
nine and Alexis still
hadn't come. He'd said any time after seven, though,
so he really had no right
or reason to get impatient or worried. It was raining
softly, sprinkling. Then
he saw her, hurrying up the path.
He went to the door and opened it as she was about to
knock. "I was worried
you weren't coming." He commented.
"Why?" She asked, stepping inside. "I said I would."
"I just... didn't think anything would keep you so long."
He shrugged. "What
did?"
"Stefan, Nikolas..." She sighed. "The police station.
I was talking with Dara,
trying to mend fences. Helena's hearing is tomorrow."
"Really?" Ned remarked and she nodded.
"Stefan told me that she was arrested the other day."
Alexis paused. "Her
arrogance at the charge is unsettling. I suppose she
has a trick up her
sleeve."
~~
Helena smiled. "Perfect." She said to the blond woman.
"Well, Katherine my
dear, tomorrow is your debut. It should be fun. You know
what you are to do?"
"Yes." Katherine Bell said, with a smile. "Tomorrow, I
tell the world my
story. And then, I tell Nikolas the truth."
"Correct." Helena smiled.

Carly's door opened and she grabbed her pillow quickly
and started rocking it.
"Good boy, yes you are...yes, you are..." She murmured
soothingly to it. "Hi.
You want to hold him? You can, but..."
She looked up, expecting to see an attendant, but trailed
off when she saw it
was someone she hadn't expected. She kept rocking, so's
not to drop her
facade, but she spoke her own words: "You can just get
in anywhere, can't
you?"
~~
Karen sighed as she walked away from the Nurses' station.
"She hates me." She
muttered.
"Who?" A familiar voice asked. Karen turned around to
see Courtney, the blond
motehr of Neil a boy who was recovering from cancer.
"Oh..." Karen sighed.
"Mary?" Courtney guessed. Karen nodded with another sigh.
"She hates anyone
Joe dates, don't take it personally." Courntey offered.
"Have you two decided
on a date yet?"
"We're *thinking* a little before Christmas, so we can
be married by then."
Karen said, "But as for an actual date? No."
"Oh. Well, my offer to help you plan the wedding still
stands." Courtney said
with a smile. "I'm a little rusty, but..."
"I think I'd like the help." Karen said, smiling back.
"But I have to talk to
Joe first. I'll get back to you, okay?"
"Great." Courtney said with a smile as Karen waved bye and headed off.
"Well, look who's here." Chris said from behind Courtney.
"I remember meeting
you. A tenant at the Scanlon family boarding house, right?"
She smiled and turned around. "Right. And you're the handsome
doctor friend of
Frank's."
"Friend? Not really." Chris commented. Courtney laughed
and he continued. "How
about getting that cup of coffee now? I'm off duty five
minutes ago; are you
free?"
"As a matter of fact, I am." She smiled. "Sounds great."

Eve Lambert sighed as she jumped up; scotch had already
doused her sleeve by
then. She glanced, for the first time, at the handsome,
but clumsy, man who'd
spilt it on her.
"I'm sorry, really, I..." He stuttered slightly; he was obviously flustered.
"It's alright; no use crying over spilt milk...or scotch."
She quipped with a
smile. "I'm allright; I think I'll live."
"You think?" He teased. "I don't know..." He pretended
to consider. "You'll
probably live, but I don't know if we can save the arm."
"I think I'll manage; a few napkins and I'll be good as
new." She smiled back.
He handed her some napkins. "Thank you."
"You're very welcome, Ms..."
"Dr." She corrected. "Dr. Eve Lambert."
"Well, *Dr.* Eve Lambert..." He said with a twinkle in
his eyes. "Can I buy
you another drink?"
"Eve is fine." She said with a smile. "Sure. I mean, it
is the absolute
*least* you could do." She teased and he smiled again
as he signaled the
bartender.
~~
"You sure don't do anything halfway, do you?" Bobbie commented
as she walked
aboard the large sailboat. It had a large deck, so large
that it didn't look
small even depsite the fact that a table, with chairs,
had been set up for
dinner. The table had candles, flowers and was fully
set.
"Not if I can help it." Jerry told her with a smile. He
pulled out her chair
for her and she sat.
"You do realize that I'm still waiting." She said with a small half-smile.
"I know." He sat down and his smirk left as he sighed
softly. "You want to
know about Jerry Jacks. Honestly? There's not much to
tell. You were right
about one thing: I am restless. I go from one place to
another, from one pet
project to another...from one woman to another." He admitted.
"And it's all
great, a nice ride. I like the way I live, I do."
"But..." Bobbie prompted.
