Jason waited for Jax to barge in.Sonny was with him.They were also waiting
for Carly but Brenda came in paniced,"Jason!Jason,I'm sorry."
Jason looked at her with concern,"Brenda what's wrong?"He looked around
and noticed Carly was missing,"Brenda.Where's Carly?"
Brenda answered shakey,"She disappeared in the club.No one could find
her.Do you think he'll hurt her?" "Not if I have anything to say about
it."Jason said and ran out the door.
Carly and Jax continued to kiss and Carly remembered that they use to
be like this all time.They were so happy when they were first married but
hen something happened and everything changed.Carly really did love Jax
and she felt horrible for being afraid of him.Jax started to remove her
clothes.Carly still had some bruises and Jax saw them.He kissed her and
whispered in her ear,"I'm sorry Carly."
Carly kissed him,"It's ok.I forgive you."They started kissing again
and didn't stop.
Jason came home after searching all night.Sonny and Brenda were waiting
for him.Jason walked in threw his keys on the table.Sonny stood,"Did you
find her?"
"No."Jason sighed and threw a glass that was on the table at the wall.
Brenda jumped.Sonny tried to calm Jason down,"Jason,you'll find her."
Jason laughed in despair,"Doesn't matter.Sonny,he's gotten to her already."
"So you'll help her,Jason."Sonny said.
"No you don't understand he probaly kissed her,told her he was sorry,and
she forgave him.It's doesn't matter if I find her now or not she thinks
things between her and Jax are ok since he apologized."Jason walked over
to the window,"She's in big trouble,Sonny.And I don't know how to help."Jason
wiped away the tear that was slowly creeping it's way down his cheek.
Sonny and Brenda watched as their friend's heart was breaking.Sonny
and Brenda had talked last night they agreed he was in love Carly.They
just didn't know how to help them realize they were perfect for each other.
Carly woke up in Jax arms.She felt safe even though this was the person
who was hurting her.Carly kissed his lips and got dressed she looked at
all her bruises and remembered Jason.He was probaly worried sick.Carly
sighed.Jax woke up and kissed her cheek,"You ok?"
Carly smiled at Jax,"Yeah I'm fine."
"Good.You want to go home I think it's safe now."
"Yeah sounds good."Carly was still thinking of Jason.
"Something wrong "Jax asked as he put on his shirt and sat next to
Carly.
"No it's just...do you love me,Jax?"Carly had to hear it.
"Yes,Carly.I love you."Jax smiled.
"Good."Carly smiled back and hugged him,"I just had to hear you say
it to me."
Carly walked into her home with Jax.The blood in there house had been
cleaned up by someone Carly thought as she looked upstairs but Carly didn't
ask any questions.Jax sat with her on the couch.Jax was still worried about
her,"Are you sure your ok?"
"Yeah.I was just wondering what Brenda and everyone are thinking."Carly
answered.
"Did you tell them about us?"
"No ,Jax,but I did disappear on them last night."
"Just tell them the truth you and your husband made up."Jax stroked
her cheek.
Carly laid her head on his chest,"You right I'm probaly worrying about
nothing."
Carly and Jax talked for a few hours.Carly told Jax that she wanted
to check on Michael at Jason's place.
Jason sat on the couch thinking about the day he had practically kicked Carly out:
Jason walked to Carly who was in her room,"Carly.We need to talk."
Carly smiled when she saw him,"What about,Jason?"
"Robin and I just had a talk."Jason sat on her bed.
Carly sat next to him,"About me?"
"Yeah."Jason nodded.
"What did I do now,Jason?"Carly looked like she was going to cry.
"Nothing.But Robin doesn't think it's good,us all leaving in the same
place and all."Jason tried to say it as politely as he could.
"Your kicking me out?"
"No,Carly.I am going to pay for you to have an apartment."
"Jason,that's the same is kicking someone out your just giving them
a place to put there stuff."Carly cried. "Carly,look I'm sorry ok?"Jason
apologized.
"No it's ok.I'm glad you did this now instead of when Michael was older.Then
he'd think you didn't want him because he wasn't a baby anymore or because
Robin wasn't his mother."Carly wiped away her tears with her sleeves and
walked out.
Carly walked up to the door and Rinaldo let her in.Jason looked bad.Carly
ran to him,"Jason,are you ok?"
"Carly,"Jason hugged her,"Thank god your ok."
"Of course I'm ok."Carly smiled.
"I thought --did he hurt you?"Jason checked her for marks.
"No he didn't.He talked to me.Jason everything's going to be ok."Carly
assured him.
"What?Just like that everything's ok?"Jason asked angered.
"Yeah just like that."Carly giggled but then saw Jason looked angry,"Jason,he's
my husband.I mean yes we had a fight but he apologized."
"Carly,a fight?Now who are you trying to convince?Yourself?He beat
you,that's not a fight that's a crime."Jason tried not to get angry,"Why
are you doing this?"Carly looked upset,"Why do you feel obligated to cover
for him?Why do you think you deserve this?"
She had tears falling from her eyes,"You want to know,Jason?I mean
the whole truth?!"
"Yes I want to know,Carly!"Jason shouted.
"Because the last time I got something for nothing it was taken away!Now,Jax
may not be perfect but he's all I got Jason!"Jason tried to turn away but
Carly turned him back to her,"He gave Michael and I a home,he married me,and
he asked for nothing in return.But..."
Jason was starting to get it,"You mean you think letting him hit you
is a way to pay him back?"Carly just stared at him.Jason couldn't believe
he didn't see it before,"Is that it?!"Carly didn't answer just stared past
him crying,"That's it."He whispered to her,"Carly,I don't know what to
say."
"You know what I think I should get home.I 'll see Michael later."Carly
walked past him and out the door.
Weeks past and Carly didn't talk toJason at all.Michael had noticed
that his mom was happier when she wasn't around Jason.Michael was in the
car with Jason and it was raining outside.Michael wanted to talk to Jason
but didn't know what to say.Jason turned to Michael,"Tell your mom I said
hi."
Michael decided to take a stand,"Dad,why don't you tell her yourself."
"Your mom doesn't want to talk to me,Michael."Jason said.
"Maybe not but all she has to do is listen,dad."
"Your right,Michael."Jason stepped out of the car with Michael.Michael
held his dad's hand as they walked up to the door.Jason remembered the
day they had watched Carly through the window.Carly wasn't cleaning today.She
was laying on the couch and she had 10,000 Maniacs was begining to play.She
rocked her feet to the beat and closed her eyes.She faced the window so
Jason saw everything. Michael and Jason walked into the house.Michael called
out,"Mom,I'm home.I'm going go put my stuff upstairs ok?"
"Ok sweety."Carly replied.
Jason walked into the front room.Carly opened her eyes and saw him.Carly
got off the couch,"Jason."
"You know your the only girl I know of that is stunned when I walk
into a room."Jason smiled
Carly's cheeks grew red,"Yeah guess you have that affect on me."
"You know what I was just thinking?"Jason paced the floor behind the
couch .
Carly got walked around so she and Jason were face to face,"What?"
"We've never danced together.I mean really danced like nobody else
around just me and you."Jason stuck out his hand.
Carly took his hand and put her other hand on his shoulder.Jason put
his other hand on her waist.They danced in the front room.Michael peeked
his head around the corner to see his mom and dad dancing.Carly was smiling
and blushing.Jason knew she forgave him.

Carly had her head rested on his shoulder by the end of the song.The
radio show host came on and Carly and Jason smiled and laughed nervously.Jason
was the first to speak,"I should probaly get going."
"Probaly."Carly agreed.
Michael went upstairs and looked out the window.He felt good at the
very least his mom and dad weren't mad at each other and if he played his
cards right he bet he could get them back together.Then he saw Jax pull
up in front of the house.Jax saw Jason's car and ran into the house.
"I'm glad we talked this out."Jason laughed.
"Me too."Carly grinned.
Jax stormed into the frontroom,"What's going on here?"
Carly and Jason turned to Jax.Carly eye's grew scared,"Jax!Your home."
"I come home what do I find you with him."Jax grabbed her by the arm.
Jason punched him,"Don't you ever touch her!"
Carly didn't know what to do.Jax and Jason wrestled on the floor and
when they broke apart.Jason got up and went over to Carly,"Carly, you have
to leave now."
Carly nodded and Jax began to get up.Jason called Michael downstairs
and told him to go to the car.Jason and Carly started to walk away when
Jax called after Carly,"Carly,I'm not the one who kicked you out."
Carly turned back to Jax.
Jax continued to talk he had to make her stay,"Left you without a family.Let
you feel terrible about being yourself."Jax was getting to Carly,"I'm not
Jason.I didn't hurt you like he did.I never would hurt you like he did."
Carly's tears fell,"Jason,why don't you take Michael with you?I'm going
to stay here."
Jason didn't believe Jax was winning,"Carly,don't let him do this."Jason
walked to Carly who was in front of Jax,"Don't let him ruin our chance."
Carly crossed her arms and tears fell,"He's not the one who ruined
our chance."
Jason looked out and Michael,"I'll be back for you."Jason told her
and left.
It took Jason about fifteen minutes to get home.Jason took Michael up
to the penthouse.Michael was crying.Jason had to make sure his son was
ok before he went back for Carly,"Michael,What's wrong?"
"Mom.He's hitting her right now.What he does is he stops beating her
so that her bruises heal and then he beats her for another few months and
does it again.Dad, please don't give up on her,please go get her."Michael
begged his dad.
Jason looked at his son,"I will,Michael.Right now,Latica and Rinaldo
will watch you ok?"Jason hugged Michael and left to go get Carly.Jason
drove as fast as he could but he knew Michael was right Carly was being
beat right now.When he first got to Carly and Jax house Jax car was gone.Jason
walked into the house and there was blood all over the place he ran up
the stairs where there was a trail of it.he followed it all the way to
a bathroom in Carly's room.Jason saw her with a towel covered in blood,"Oh
my god,Carly.Are you ok?I should have never left."
"Jason,"Carly cried,"I have got to get to a hospital please.The baby..."Carly
past out.
"Carly?!What a baby?"Jason picked her up and put her in his car.He
drove her to General Hospital.
Jason waited in the waiting room.Monica came out and smiled at him,"She's
ok,Jason.She lost a lot of blood but she's fine."
Jason sighed,"She said something about a baby."
"I didn't know if you knew or not,"Monica sat next to him,"Luckily,her
baby is fine but she was very close to losing it if you hadn't have brang
her here who knows what would have happened."
"Can I see her?"Jason asked.
"Of course."Monica answered.
Jason walked into Carly's room.Carly's eye was black but besides that
her face was ok most of her bruise were again on her arms and everywhere
else.
Carly smiled,"You saved my baby."
Jason sat next to her,"I had no idea."
"I just found out a couple days ago,"Carly grabbed his hand,"I should
have left with you.I let my pride and emotions get in the way.I'm sorry.But
I know for sure now it's over between Jax and I.I want a divorce.I want
to get Michael away from him.You know the saddest thing about what Jax
sad was though?"
"What?"
"It was all true.I mean I have hurt a lot of people,the people I really
care about end up hurting me,and no one but Jax will ever want me."Carly
looked down in pain.
"That's not true at all."Jason kissed her hand.
"You know when we first got together it wasn't like this.He would send
flowers to me,he would take me places,and sometimes he'd even call me to
tell me he loved me.He was sweet and kind but then...one day he turned
into this monster."
"He's not worth all this."Jason squeezed her hand,"I got to go tell
Michael your ok."
"Ok."Carly smiled.
Carly was able to get out within a couple of days.She missed Jax a lot
but Jason had always gave her a shoulder to cry on,she took her old room
and Michael's room had always been their.Jason had Justus working on getting
Carly a divorce.Jason and Carly had gotten very close but Carly didn't
kiss him or lead him to believe that they were getting any closer.Jason
knew she still felt a little resentment towards him.Jason got a knock at
the door.Jutus handed him a manilla envelope,"She's divorced."
"Good."Jason grinned,"Thanks."
"No problem."Jutus said and walked away.
"Carly!"He called up the stairs.
"Yeah?"Carly jogged down the stairs and to Jason,"What's up?"Carly
put her hands behind her back and smiled.
"You're divorced."Jason handed her the envelope.
Carly took a deep breath and sat,"It's weird I thought I'd be happy
when I saw this.To tell the truth I don't feel too good."
"It's going to take some time."Jason comforted her.
"You know,here I am with pregnant again and there you are.I mean--here
I am stuck wishing another child of mine was yours."She stroked his cheek,"I
wish this baby was yours.I wish Michael was yours."
Jason gave her an understanding look,"He is."
Carly had some tears fall from her eye when she laughed,"Yeah he is.Michael
is your son."
Jason thought carefully and looked at Carly while she shed a few more
tears,"You know,"He nodded his head,"I wouldn't mind another son or daughter.I
kind like kids."
Carly looked surprised,"You mean you'd do with this child what you
did with Michael?"
"Sure.Carly,everything's going to work out I promise."Jason smiled
"Jason,"She cried,"You don't know how much that means to me.Your so
good with Michael.Thank you."
"It's ok,"He looked at her with as much promise as he could,"Nothing
will come between us this time.You have my word."
Carly knew he wasn't lying.She went upstairs to tell Michael,"Michael."
He paused his game,"Yeah mom."
"Jax and I are offically divorced."Carly grinned and showed him the
papers.
"Mom that's great."Michael went through the papers looking at the fine
print making sure there weren't any catches.
"I got an idea,Michael.It's to thank Jason you game?"Carly smiled wickedly.
Jason came into the house and called Carly but there was no answer.He
opened the door to Rinaldo,"Where is Carly?"
"She and Michael went to go get something."Rinaldo responded.
"Where?"
"I don't know they said it was a secret."Rinaldo shrugged.
Jason squinted his eyebrows and walked back into the house.After a
couple minutes Carly and Michael arrived at the place.Carly giggled,"You
ready,Michael?"
"Yeah!"Michael had an evil glint in his eye.
Carly positioned her hands behind her back as did Michael.Carly and
Michael walked in.Jason immediatly knew somtehing was up,"What are you
guys hiding?"
Carly and Michael took a postion on either side of him.Carly spoke,"Well
you see me and Michael wanted to thank you for all your help but we didn't
want to do it with a party..."
"Or card..."Michael added.
"Or present even so we decided on something that expressed our feelings
in our own unique way.Ready Michael?"
"Ready."He nodded.
They pulled out two spray cans each of silly string and sprayed him
as much as they could.Carly had green and pink.Michael had blue and orange.They
all laughed and Finally Jason broke out from in between them.Jason grabbed
Carly and used her as a sheild.Carly sqeualed with laughter,"No."Carly
and the other were laughing so hard their faces were getting really red.
Jason took Carly's green can and started to spray her back while still
holding her,"You give?"He laughed.
"I'll never surrender!"Carly said and got herself out of Jason's hold
and started spraying back.
Jason grabbed Michael,"Now do you give?"Jason asked Carly.
Michael jokingly said,"Mom,he's crazy enough to do it."
Carly put her silly string on the ground,"I give."
Jason let Michael loose and by now he had all there spray cans he started
chasing them.They messed around with it for hours until the silly string
ran out.They ate dinner together and Jason carried Michael upstairs laughing.Jason
tucked him in.Carly got a big trash bag. to gather up all the silly string.They
had a lot of fun.Jason watched her from the head of the stairs.Carly looked
down at her stomach.She was wearing a white shirt and blue overalls so
her stomach didn't show too much.She rubbed her stomach and whispered,"You'll
like it here."Jason smiled at her although she had no idea he heard.She
continued talking to her baby in a whisper and Jason continued to listen,"May
not be perfect but like I told your grandma Virginia it works.Your daddy,
Jason, he's really nice about everything.He's saved me and your brother
numerous times,he'll save you too.If it wasn't for him I don't know what
I'd do.I hate to say it sweetheart but you might not be alive.He wants
to take care of you like he does Michael which is great news for you because
he is a really good dad.The only catch is that he doesn't love me which
kind of sucks because I really love him. "Carly stopped after saying that.
Jason couldn't believe what he had just heard he thought Carly didn't
want anything like that.Carly started to hum to her baby.The same tune
that Jason and Carly had danced to.Jason walked down the stairs and sat
next to Carly.
Carly stopped humming and just held her stomach,"How's Michael?"
"He's good,very happy that your out of that house.So am I."Jason stated
as he sat next to her he continued to think about what she had said to
her baby.
"Jason."Carly snapped him out his thoughts.
"Huh?"
"Are you ok?You just stopped talking to me for a mintue.What's wrong?"Carly
said sounding a little worried.
"Yeah I'm fine I mean,"Jason looked at Carly who was still staring
at her stomach and had to confess,"Carly I have something to tell you."
Carly turned to him,"Really?What deep dark secret are you hiding?"
"The same one as you."Jason smiled.
"What secret is that?"Carly joked,"I have a lot of them you know."
" I don't know how to tell you."Jason laughed nervously.
Carly snickered,"I can't believe your nervous about telling me something."Then
she got worried,"Is it something bad?"
"No.No,"Jason had to tell her,"It's good."
"Jason,you're killing me here!What is it?
"I think of you as more than a very close friend.I mean I have very
strong feelings towards you."Jason confessed.
Carly wasn't quite sure what he was saying,"Oh me too.Goodnight,Jason."She
smiled and hit his shoulder thinking he was playing.Carly got up,went upstairs,and
to bed.Jason talked to himself,"Why do I get the feeling that didn't go
the way I expected it too."
