Michael stared at her with curiousity,"What happened?!"
Maddy sobs filled the room,"That has to be when it
happened.She was so scared when she came back that night.And
her clothes she couldn't explain what had happened to her
clothes.Poor...oh my god.I didn't help her.She needed are
help and we didn't help her."Maddy talked to herself rather
than Michael gripping at her hair with her fists.
"Maddy,please tell me what's going on."Michael begged and
Maddy finally turned to him,"What did Trent do to my
mother?"
"He hurt her,Michael.In the worst possible way you can think
of."She sadly replied.
"Are you telling my mom didn't get pregnant
voluneteerly?"Michael asked.
"Your mother didn't trust him but one night they disappeared
together and he couldn't have done that with her unless he
used force,Michael."Maddy regretfully informed him.
"Are you telling me that this Trent guy raped my
mother?"Michael tearfully asked.
Maddy nodded with her own falling tears,"I am so
sorry,Michael."
Michael sat back down and sobbed into his hands.Maddy sat
next to him and cried on his shoulder.After awhile Michael
hugged Maddy and they cried in each other's arms.
Bobbie held Carly until she fell asleep again never really
finding out what had happened to her daughter.Carly laid
there tossing and turning.Bobbie could tell when she was
having a bad dream because her grip would tighten on Carly's
hand.Bobbie had called everyone to the hospital a few hours
ago but told them nothing except Carly was awake.Michael
invited Maddy to join them but she told him she had to speak
with Red and the others about Carly's latest secret.Michael
walked into Carly's room and Bobbie exited leaving Bobbie
with one last wink.Michael smiled sweetly at his mom,"Hey
you."Michael said jokingly Carly held her head high.
"Michael,you should never greet your mother with hey
you."Carly smiled and Michael felt a world better,"How you
doing,Kid?"
"Hey!That's not fair!"Michael whinned as he sat down next to
her.
"It doesn't have to be fair,Michael,I'm your mother I can be
unfair."
Michael hugged her and they both held on tightly,"I missed
you so much,Momma."
Carly closed her eyes and rested her head on his
shoulder.She couldn't imagine what a baby would do to her
almost forgotten son.She felt a tear fall and
sighed,"Oh,Michael.You mean the world to me."Carly pulled
away and held his face in her hands,"Do you know that?"Carly
stroked his hair and asked.
"Yea,Mom,I know."Michael answered and knew she was dying
inside and he only wanted to help so he blurted out,"I--I
know,Mom."
Carly grinned and wiped away her tears,"Good."
Michael shook his head,"No,Mom,I know what happened."
Carly felt her heart sink,"What's that suppose to mean?"
Michael swallowed his tears stayng strong for his mom,"I
know your pregnant and I know how it happened."
Carly wasn't sure what he meant,"Ok,I guess your old enough
to know.I just can't believe Bobbie and Jason waited this
long to tell you where babies come from."
Michael laughed slightly,"No."He choked through his
laughter,"I mean I know,"Michael struggled and his smile
faded,"I know you were raped."
Carly wasn't sure how to react.She just stared at him
blankly,"How?"Michael didn't answer for a moment.How could
he explain that Maddy told him unintentionally?Carly
gasped,"Oh my god.Trent!How'd he get to you?!Did he hurt
you?!Michael if he hurt you I swear he won't live another
day!I'll take care of him once and for all!"
"Mom!He didn't!"Michael stopped her from getting up and
sighed,"Maddy sort of figured it out and I was with her when
she did.She wouldn't have if she didn't know you were
pregnant."
Carly's eyes widened,"Maddy knows!Oh no."Carly whispered
into her palms.
"Mom,please,just listen to me."Michael begged and Carly
looked up at him.
She took a deep breath and nodded,"Ok."
"I've been thinking about it a lot.Your baby,your rape,and
how...lost you really are and I want you to know that I'm
here.You don't have to worry anymore.I'll take care of
you.You and the baby."Michael promised.
Carly's grinned through her tears,"Michael,that's sweet
but--"
Michael cut her off,"But nothing.I know my dad would do the
same thing.That's part of why I'm doing it."
"And what is the other part?"
Michael smiled,"Your my mother.I love you,Mom and the baby
your carrying despite how it was concived it's my
family,too."
Carly hugged him tightly,"I love you,too,Michael.And I want
you to know something."Carly pulled back and placed her
hands on his cheeks,"You are my angel.You will never be
replaced by this baby.You have given me my life
back,Michael.I don't want you ever to feel unwanted."
"I know,Mom."They embraced again,"I know."He repeated using
all his strength to stay strong for her.
Outside of Carly's room another unplanned family meeting was taking
place.Michael exited the room and
saw that everyone was there.Nikolas,Emily,Laura,Luke,Lucky,
Liz,Monica,Bobbie,Lila,Lucas,Lulu(yes I finally remembered to include
her!LoL),Ned,and Maddy were all
there.Maddy came to him first and hugged him tightly,"Is she ok?"
"I still don't understand exactly what happened to,Caroline."Luke stated.
Bobbie brushed her fingertips across her forehead,"I'm not too sure
myself.I came in last night and she was
really scared."Michael and Maddy looked over at Bobbie as she continued
to explain,"She kept telling me
she didn't want to do it.I wasn't sure what she meant.I'm scared,Luke.My
baby girl has got a big problem
and we can't fix it because we don't know what's wrong."
Liz repeated the statement in her mind,'She didn't want to do it?'
"Yes,we do."Michael chimed in and everyone turned their eyes to him
"What?"Bobbie questioned
Michael looked back at Maddy and she took his hand,"Tell them."
Michael's gaze was turned back to his family,"She was forced
to get pregnant."
"What?!"Emily shouted out before anyone else could.
"She was raped."Michael informed them sadly and a cloud drifted above
all their heads.
"First she's gone for fourteen years away from her family,away from
her friends,and now this.God,how much
more can the poor woman take?"Emily sobbed and Nikolas took her in
his arms.
Liz knew almost everyone around her knew about her rape and stepped
forward,"Maybe I can help."Liz
suggested and Michael along with Maddy looked up.
"How could you help,Liz?"Michael asked.
"I was raped when I was younger."Liz said aloud and inhaled deeply,"I
could maybe help.At least I have
some idea what it's like."
"Thanks,Liz.I think it would help."Michael agreed and signaled towards
the door,"I think it's ok to go in now
if you'd like."Liz's gaze drifted toward Lucky and she smiled slightly
as she into Carly's room.Michael looked
around at everybody,"I would really appreciate it if everyone went
in one by one to just kind of show my
mom she means something if that's ok with everyone."Everyone nodded
in response and Michael went to
Bobbie,"How's dad?She needs him."
Bobbie grabbed him and pulled him to her,"I know,sweety,but there has
been no change.He's still not
awake."
Michael took Maddy's hand again while talking to Bobbie,"I'm going
to go see him."
"Ok,Michael.I know this may seem like a stupid thing to say but try
not to worry."
Michael laughed,"You're right.It does sound kind of stupid."Michael
joked and left with Maddy & a smile.
Carly folded her hands in her lap as Liz entered her hospital room,"Did
Michael reveal my terrible
secret?"Carly asked with a smile despite her scared and sad feelings
inside.
"He had to.We were all worried and he had to tell us what was going
on."Liz replied.
Carly laughed,"They probaly all think I'm a big slut,right?"
Liz was seriously surprised by the comment,"Carly,of course not.We
think your in a lot of pain right now and
we're all going to stick together like a family for you.We're all going
to help you through this,that's if you'd
just let us."
Carly looked at Liz and wiped away her salty tears,"My family?"
Liz took her hand as she sat beside her,"Yes,your family."
"I really appreciate that.Really I do but...,"Carly looked down and
closed her eyes,"No one gets this.No one
knows how I feel right now."
Liz grinned thoughtfully,"I do."
Carly immediatly looked up,"What?"
Liz nodded,"Yea,I was raped when I was younger."
Carly's jaw dropped,"I don't know what to say."Carly shook her head,"I'm
sorry."
Liz slightly chukled,"Carly!You have nothing to be sorry about.I am
past that now.I have a wondeful
husband and great children.This is about you."
Carly took her hand away from Liz and wrapped her arms around herself,"Me?"
"Carly,I know it may not seem like it right now but you'll get past
this too."
Carly smiled sadly,"How?!The most amazing man I have ever met my die!I
am pregnant with a bastard's
baby!And my son thinks he's somehow responsible for me!"Liz wasn't
really prepared for all that and Carly
could tell,"Elizabeth,I'm sorry."Carly hugged Liz suddenly,"I'm just
really scared and I don't know what to
do."Carly confessed and Liz was glad she knew right then she was helping.
Liz pulled back and wiped away Carly's remaining tears,"I tell you
what you do.You lie down,calm
down,stop worrying,and let your family take care of the rest."
Carly let out a giggle,"Anything else,Mrs.Spencer?"
"The only thing you have to worry about is,"Liz poked her stomach,"The
newest
Morgan,Spencer,Bensen--"Liz joked metioning all the names,"Coming into
the family.That's it.The rest is left
to all of us."
Carly sighed,"Thanks,Liz.It really does help that someone else has
been through this too.Although,I doubt
our situations were the same."
"Well...I was raped in the park one night,"Liz was a little misty rehashing
her rape for the hundredth time but
did it for Carly,"I was suppose to go to the dance and I was all dressed
up for it but I decided I didn't want
to see Lucky and Sarah dancing together."
"Sarah?"Carly repeated and rose a brow.
"My sister.See I sort of made a mistake and thought Lucky wanted to
go to the dance with me like a date
but he cancelled to go with Sarah."Liz explained.
Carly gasped,"What a jerk!"
Liz laughed,"No!He's not!He had no idea what I felt for him.Anyways,I
decided to go to the park and I sat
on the bench that's,"Liz remembered it as though it were yesterday,"When
it happened.This hand grabbed
me from behind and he was just so much stronger so I couldn't fight
him off and he raped me in the bushes."
Carly sobbed softly as she listened to her story,"God,what happened
next?"
"Lucky."Liz's face brightened up,"He came and he saved me.He's been
by my side ever since."Liz felt as
though the rape was a figment of her imagination sometimes just because

Carly smiled,"That's wonderful,Liz.It is but my situation is completely
different."
"How so?"Liz inquried and Carly's eyes widened,"Carly,I don't mean

Carly let out a long exhale,"If I tell you.You have to promise me that
no one else will find out."Liz nodded
and Carly continued,"My new life began a long time ago but I never
ever intended a relastionship with
anybody.So I was a traveller crossing across the states in search of
my past which I had absolutely no lead
on.Then one day out of nowhere I met Red,who's a very close friend,and
Maddy along with the other
runaways and wonders.Anyways,out of the blue I meet this Trent guy
and he's the definition of charming but
I never let him be alone with me.Don't ask me why I guess I just kind
of figured that if we were alone I'd
have to actually be with him as like a date or girlfriend.I never wanted
to lead anybody on so I just stayed in
groups with him or was on my own."Carly felt all those dirty and sad
emotions filling her inside,"One day,I
learned that Trent might have been in a bad situation with an ex-girlfriend
and I was really worried because
from what I heard he was very hurt and distraut.I knew where he lived
and I went to his place."Carly
sighed,"I went in and he looked very upset..."Carly closed her eyes
running it though her mind again...
Carly noticed him immediately sitting on the floor,"Oh no,Trent."Carly
whispered and knelt
down to him,"Are you ok?"
Trent laughed as he flicker a lighter he had in his hand,"I hate her
you know that?"
Carly watched in horror as he lit a picture of him and his ex-girlfriend
on fire,"Trent,I know
what happened.How are you doing?"
Trent grinned wickedly as he looked over at her,"I'm fine now that
your here."
Carly smiled back nervously as she stood and Trent did to,"I was just
making sure that you were
ok.I'll talk to you later and don't do anything I wouldn't."Carly laughed
filling her stomach turn
as Trent looked her over.She tried to leave but Trent stepped in front
of her.Carly's hands balled
into fists,"I wanna leave."Carly stated and tried to make it out the
door.
"Oh,come on,Babs.The fun was just begining."Trent snickered and Carly
felt fear
rushing through her vains.
"Please,just let me leave."Carly begged and tried to leave again.
"I don't think so,Carly."Trent told her and she let her tears fall,"I
love it when women are
scared.Your just so much more fun."
Carly tried to run to the left and right but Trent blocked her everytime.She
tried to fight but he
wrapped his arms around her body and dragged her into the next
room.His bedroom and her screams ran through out the house,"Help!!!"
"I really don't have to explain the rest do I?"Carly sniffled.
"Oh,Carly,you don't have to say anything else.That's enough."Liz was
crying for her the whole time and
Carly fought to keep it inside,"I don't know what to say."
Carly shrugged,"I--can you tell me if I did something wrong?I mean
did I make him think he could do that?"
Liz shook her head repeatedly,"No!Nothing.You were just trying to be
a friend."
"I try to say that to myself,too,but it just seems useless sometimes,you
know?"
Liz nodded as she used the back of her hand to wiped her tears away,"Sure.I
know."
"He's dellsional he actually thinks we were together and for months
and then I am the one who went to his
house for...it.He thinks we should actually be a family!"Carly looked
down and then back to her,"Do you
think I made as wrong decision by keeping the baby?"
"No.That was completely your decision.I just think,"Liz frowned,"You
are really amazing for being strong
enough to do it.I couldn't.Did you ever even think about abortion?"
Carly smiled finally and placed her hands on her stomach,"Yeah but
this really wonderful thing happened
when I went to get an abortion."
Liz's curiousity was fully peaked by now,"What could have possibly
happened?"
"I went into the women's clinic and the place was busy that day."Carly
laughed,"So there were all these
pregnant women around me.It was like a mommy meeting or something and
they were talking about how
their baby had kept them up kicking or how they had cravings for weird
odd food that they had never really
imagined.I just watched them in amazement and this little three year
old girl in pigtails came up to me and
says hi."Carly seemed to be lifted by the thought as it took place
of the bad memory she had just had...
"Hi."Carly responded and looked down at her.
"What's your name?"The girl politely asked as she placed her arms behind
her back.
Carly shrugged,"I'm not sure."
The girl grinned,"You don't know your own name?"
Carly nodded,"Well,I don't know my real name but everyone calls me
Babs.What's your's?"
"Mary."She told Carly and stuck out her hand.
Carly shook her hand with a wide smile,"Why hello Ms.Mary."
"Hi,Babs."Mary said and her mom called her over,"I gotta go.Nice to
meet you,Babs."
"You too,Mary."Carly laughed as she waved good by and walked away.
"How far long are you?"Someone asked Carly.
Carly looked across at another women who looked like she was very pregnant,"I'm
not sure
about a month."Carly sat down and looked at her,"You?"
"Oh,I don't know a year?"The woman joked and Carly let out a laugh,"I'm
having twins actually
and I'm eight months."
Carly gasped,"And you can still walk?"
The woman giggled,"Barely.You married?"Carly shook her head in response,"Don't
worry.You
don't need a man to help.All you need is you and your bundle of joy
to have a happy life."
Carly's smile faded,"Yea."
"Your going to love being pregnant.Having a little life inside of you
is so...amazing.You'll be so happy
you have that child to yourself."The woman assured Carly making her
feel really reluctant towards
what she was about to do.
"Really?It's that great?"Carly questioned placing a hand on her stomach.
"It's that and so much more."The woman reassured her and Carly stood,"What's
wrong?"
Carly's smile returned,"Nothing.Not a thing."Carly replied before leaving
the clinic.
"And that's when I decided to keep her."Carly stated and looked at
her now begining to show stomach.
Liz smiled,"That is amazing,Carly.I am so happy for you."
Carly nodded,"It's the only good thing to come out of this whole thing."
"I wish I could talk to you more and if you need any baby tips I'm
your girl."
"Thanks for the offer but I think I am going to try and take care of
myself more.I promise."Carly vowed and
Liz hugged her one last hug before clearing everyone to come
in.Nikolas,Emily,Laura,Luke,Lucky,Liz,Monica,Bobbie,Lila,Lucas,Lulu,and
Ned entered.Carly sat up and
smile nervously,"Hi,everyone."Carly waved.
Nikolas and Lucky set two vases of flowers in front of her from all
of them.
"How you doing,cuz?"Lucky asked as he hugged her strongly.
"I'm fine."Carly answered.
"You had us worried,Carly."Bobbie said and Luke shook his head.
"Not me,Caroline's a Spencer all the way."Luke chimed in and everyone
rolled their eyes.
Carly laughed,"Thanks,Uncle Luke."
"You sure your feeling alright?"Emily asked worried.
"I'm fine,really.But thank you all so much for caring.I also wanted
to thank you and Nikolas for watching
Michael."Carly was so glad Michael had some place to go.
"It's no problem really."Nikolas told Emily and Carly again.
"He is very lucky to he doesn't have to be at the Quartermaine Mansion."Ned
chimed.
Carly laughed inside as Monica hit his shoulder,"Exactly."
Lila went to Carly's side,"Thank god your alright,Dear."Carly felt
a warth all aroudn her as Lila asked,"Tell
me how's your baby?"
There was a long silence,"It's doing great.Thank you for asking."
"Do you know what it is yet,Sis?"Lucas probed.
Carly took a deep breath,"Not for sure but I think it's a girl."
"Well,if you think that's what it is.It probaly is."Lulu added.
"I don't mean to be the mother here but I think it's best if we let
Carly rest.She has had a very long
day."Bobbie told everyone and began to push them all out as they shouted
stuff back to her.Everyone but
Emily who Bobbie let stay.Emily pulled a chair to Carly's side,"So,how
are you really?"
"I'm ok.Really."Carly assured Emily.
Emily felt a knot tie in her stomach as she said,"Great then can I
ask you something?"
"Of course."Emily sat back in her chair and struggled to say something.Carly
laughed,"Emily,in order for me
to answer your question I have to be asked."
Emily ran a hand through her hair,"Ok,what's it like to be pregnant?"
Carly was taken back by the question but answered,"I feel like some
sort of a god."Carly joked and they
giggled,"It's kind of hard to explain.I have spent so many months worrying
about other things lately that I
haven't been able to concentrate on my baby.Why do you ask?"
Emily hesistated and made sure no one was still in the room,"If I tell
you a secret do you promise it stays
between us?"
Carly raised her right hand,"I promise."
"Ok,well,I don't know if you know but Nikolas and I are going to get
married soon and we didn't exactly
wait to show each other how much we loved each other."Emily hinted
toward the secret and Carly thought
she knew but waited for Emily to say something,"I'm pregnant."
Carly hugged Emily,"That's great!"
Emily smiled as she pulled away,"Really?Because he doesn't know yet
and I'm not sure how he'll react."
"Emily!I see the way you two are together.He loves you I can tell just
by the way he looks at you and I
know he'll love your baby too!"Carly exclaimed with a grin.
"You think so?"
"I know so."Carly answered and laid down,"Now,I want you to march out
there tell Nikolas the news and
let me sleep!I am so tired!"Carly whinned.
"Ok,I'm going."Emily agreed and before she walked out she turned back,"Carly?"
"Hmm?"Carly mumbled with her eyes closed barely able to keep awake.
"Thank you."Emily whispered seeing Carly was already gone and exited
silently.
Michael and Maddy watched Jason in silence.Michael just
worried and Maddy held his hand through it.Jason seemed to
just get worse and not any better.Michael got stronger and
stronger everytime he looked at his father but the idea of
losing him never got any easier.Maddy was in a chair beside
Michael and rested her head on his shoulder,"How you doing?"
Michael sighed,"I'm looking at my dad almost dead.How do you
think I feel?"
"Horrible."Maddy said and sat up.
Michael nodded,"Right."Michael swallowed hard as he looked
at his dad,"Come on,Dad.All I need is a sign that your ok."
Maddy looked up at Jason's heart monitor and saw the
distinct change.Without telling Michael she exited the room
to get a doctor.
"We all need you dad.Mom's in real deep and I promised I'd
take care of her but we all know that your the best care
giver there is."Michael took Jason's hand,"Mom needs you dad
and I promise you I'll take care of her until you wake up
but she really needs you.Not me."
Maddy entered with a doctor and whispered,"Is that
normal?"Maddy questioned and pointed toward Jason's heart
monitor.The doctor's eyes widened and he exited quickly
yelling for help.Maddy went to Michael,"Michael,something's
wrong!"Michael turned to Maddy who was pushed aside by the
doctor and nurses entering,"Get the kids out."The doctor
ordered and they were dragged into the hall.Michael still
didn't understand until he heard someone say,"We're losing
him!"
Michael,Maddy,and Bobbie all waited for news.It was nerve
wrecking and both Bobbie and Maddy had no idea what to say
to help Michael.Michael stood in the hall refusing to move
and waiting for Jason to pull through.The doctor finally
entered the hall and they all went to him,"Is he ok?"Michael
asked.
"He's stable.We almost thought he wouldn't make it but he
did."The doctor cleared his throat,"Ms.Spencer may I speak
with you?"
"Of course."Bobbie replied and the doctor took her aside
while Maddy and Michael embraced in relief,"What is
it,Doctor?"
He rubbed his forehead nervously,"I'm sorry to tell you
this,Ms.Spencer,but I think we might have to prepare
ourselves for a loss soon."
Bobbie's eyes filled with tears,"Are you saying...what I
think your saying?"
"We may have to let Mr.Morgan go if he does not wake up
soon.I'm sorry."The doctor informed her and Bobbie nodded
painfully as he walked away.How could she possibly explain
this to Michael?She thought as she looked over at Maddy and
Michael who still continued to hold each other in happiness.
Meanwhile...
Carly was finally having good dreams about her,Michael,and
Jason.She had somehow convinced herself he'd be ok.She
turned over and began to drift back to sleep when she felt a
hand slam against her mouth.Carly's scream stayed muffled as
the person laid her flat on her back and the hand pressed
harder on her mouth,"Your going to pay for this."The man
threatened her with a smile,"Did you really think telling
your friends about the baby and the rape,Babs?I mean did you
really think they'd finish me off!?Is that it?!"Carly shook
her head as he kept his hand over her mouth and pulled out a
knife.He brushed it against her neck as she closed her eyes
and shook her head and begged muffled,"Please,Trent,please
don't hurt me.Please,I didn't tell anybody,I swear."Carly
screamed with tears falling down and the pain sounded
through her voice.
"Your a liar!"Trent said as he pushed down on her,"You told
Red!She and some of the other guys trashed my house and
nearly killed me!All because they know!How do they
know,Babs?!How?!"
Carly continually shook her head,"I swear.I didn't tell
anybody!I don't know how they know!I really don't!"Carly
cried.
Trent could tell she wasn't lying so he held the knife to
her throat,"You scream once and I cut that baby out of
you,you got that?!"Trent yelled and Carly nodded as he took
his hand off her mouth.Carly breathed in uneasy and sat up
quickly and Trent took a step back,"Who else knows?"Carly
kept silent protecting Maddy who was like a daughter to
her.Trent laughed angrily,"You really want to be hurt don't
you?!"Carly just stayed silent and Trent inhaled
deeply,"Ok,fine,I'm going to be back in a while and if you
don't answer me your going to pay.So think really
hard,Babs!"Trent shouted and put the knife away before
stepping into the hall.
Carly began to pant,"Oh my god.Oh my god.My baby."Carly
whispered to herself and sobbed loudly,"It's
ok,sweetheart."Carly said to her baby,"I'll get us out of
this."
"Oh god,Carly?!"Someone shouted before rushing to her,"Are
you ok?"
Carly looked up and shook her head,"No!No I'm not.I have to
get out of here!"
"What?I'm not so sure that's a good idea,Carly.I mean your
pregnant and your in here for a reason."
Carly got out of her bed,"No!You don't understand.I have to
get out of here,Mister.I have to before he comes back!I
don't have a lot of time please help me!By the way who the
hell are you?!"Carly asked unexpectedly.
"My name's A.J. Quartermaine nice to see you
again,Carly."A.J. greeted with a nervous smile.
"Ok,A.J.,I have a psycho just waiting to come back in here
and if you leave me here my baby and me are as good as
dead!So please just help me get out of here!Please!"Carly
pleaded tearfully honestly having no idea who he was.
A.J. didn't want to agree to this.He knew it was a bad idea
right off the bat but she looked terrified and he had missed
her over the last fourteen years,"Alright.What do you need
me to do?"
"I need you to sneak me out of here.Do you think you can
pull that off?"Carly asked relying on him whoever he was.
"Ok,I think so.Just do what I say,ok?"A.J. told her.
She nodded saying,"I'll do anything just get me out of
here!"Carly agreed.
A.J. grinned,"I will."
Michael and Maddy entered Jason's room again and waited for
some sign.Michael was just thankful that his father was
still hanging in there.That's all he needed.Maddy pulled
away from Michael's hold,"I am going to go get something to
drink.You want anything?"
Michael shook his head,"Nothing.I don't need anything.Just
my dad."
Maddy sweetly smiled,"Well,I'll ask the magic vending
machine if it can give me a miracle."Maddy joked and walked
out.Michael inhaled deeply and turned back to his dad
holding a his hand.Michael looked out at the dark sky and
realized it was going to be another night without his
father.He looked down sadly and began to drift back ot his
sad thoughts.Michael waited for Maddy in silence.Michael
began to slip his hand away when he felt a firm grip hold
him there.Michael's eyes widened and he looked up
quickly,"Da-"Michael couldn't finish his sentence.His
emotions were interfering.
Jason's eyes fluttered open and he just looked at
Michael.Michael's eyes filled with tears,"Oh
my--Dad?"Michael choked and stood to get closer to Jason.
"Michael,what's wrong?Where am I?What happened?"Jason
questioned looking around before remembering what had
happened,"Where's Carly?!"Jason shouted suddenly scaring
Michael.
Michael hugged Jason,"Nothing's wrong,Dad."Michael told his
dad and Jason didn't believe a word of it.
Jason pulled back and looked into Michael's eyes,"Hey big
guy,how long was I out of it?"Jason asked feeling his head
weighed tons.
"Weeks."Michael took a deep breath and turned to the doctor
and Maddy,"Can we be alone for awhile?"Michael asked Maddy
immediately left to tell Bobbie or somebody.
The doctor walked in hearing all the
comotion,"Mr.Morgan?!"The doctor paused when he saw Michael
and Jason,"I'm sorry,Michael,but I have to examine your
father.Especially after the surroundings surrounding his
situation."
"Can I have just a moment,please?"Michael pleaded.
"I'm sorry but I really do have to examine your father and
then we have tests to run."
Jason glared at the doctor,"Get out,doctor.If my son wants
to be alone with me he will be.Don't think just because I've
been out of it I can't be with my son."Jason warned.
"Ok,but only a few moments and try not to upset
him,Michael."The doctor backed down and left the room.
Jason took a deep breath,"Ok,Michael,don't worry about me
being upset.I want to know what's wrong.What happened?"
Michael ran his hands through his hair,"Dad,I really don't
know how to say this.It's mom.She--after the
shooting--"Michael was cut off when Bobbie burst into the
room.
"Michael!We have to talk!"Bobbie stressed her voice trying
to signal to him instead of Jason and Jason knew something
bad had happened while he was gone.
Jason held Michael back,"Bobbie,what's wrong?!"
Bobbie hesitated but knew it might be best if she just said
it,"Carly's disappeared."
Jason let Michael go and Michael waited for his dad to say
something,"What?"
"Dad,it's a really long story."Michael answered.
Jason just got more and more worried,"Ok,um...Bobbie,get
everyone to look for Carly and Michael,you tell me
everything.I want to know now."Bobbie nodded and left the
room to get everyone to look for Carly.Jason turned to
Michael,"Don't worry about me,Michael.Just tell me what's
wrong with Carly.I don't care if it's a long story.Trust
me,I have nowhere to go right now so your not wasting my
time."
Michael sat down and folded his hands,"After the shooting
you came to the hospital and I gave the police a statement
but Robin told them I was just sticking up for mom and that
it was all a lie!So they took mom to jail."
Jason stared away,"Robin hurt Carly again?"
Michael nodded,"Yea,Dad,she did but--that's not it."
Jason frowned and looked back at Michael,"What else could
there possibly be?Carly went to jail because my stupid
ex-girlfriend and now she's disappeared from her cell."
"No,she didn't disappear from her jail cell,"Michael
stood,"She disappeared from her hospital room."
Jason laughed slightly,"Ok,did I miss something?How did
Carly end up in the hospital?Did that--did Robin hurt
her?"Jason wanted to kill Robin more and more with every
word Michael spoke.How could he have ever wanted her over
Carly?
"No,when mom was in jail the doctor from Ferncliff and some
of his guards came to take her back to Ferncliff."Michael
was again interuptted by Jason.
"Ferncliff?!She doesn't even know what Ferncliff is!"Jason
shouted and closed his eyes,"What else?Did they give her too
much drugs?!"
"No!It's just--"Michael didn't know how to say
this,"Dad,there's something--some things you don't know
about mom's past."
"Like?"Jason asked feeling his muscles tense.
"She came into the hospital because the drugs could have
been harmful to her."
"Why?Is she sick?"Jason asked more worried than before.
"No,Dad."Michael answered trying to think of what to say.
"Then what?!What is it Michael!?Just tell me!Stop worrying
about me just say it!"
"She's pregnant!"Michael shouted back and he could tell
Jason wasn't expecting him to say it.Jason looked down tryng
to think of how to react.Michael hated this especially since
his dad still didn't know everything.Michael decided he
might as well spill it out all now so he went backto his
dad's side,"Dad,there's more."
Jason laughed,"What?What else?"
Michael's eyes filled with tears again.He wasn't use to the
idea yet how was he suppose to say this to his dead.He was
in love with Carly,"Dad,mom didn't get pregnant on purpose.I
mean--"Michael struggled as Jason waited for him to
explain,"She was raped,Dad."Michael added and was glad to
have it all out in the open.
"Carly--was?"Jason placed his face in his hands,"When you
last saw her how was she?"Jason questioned fearfully.
"She was ok.I promised to take care of her."Michael informed
his dad.
Jason nodded,"Something must have got to her.She trusts you
more than she does me.Why would she leave the hospital?"
"Dad,don't you?I mean doesn't that stuff bother you?"Michael
was surprised his dad was acting like that.
"Of course I am but I will deal with it when I know Carly's
safe."Jason saw Michael was still a little
surprise,"Michael,you and Carly are the only things that
matter right now.If your not ok tell me and we'll deal with
it now."
Michael shook his head,"No,dad,I agree.We just have to get
mom back."
"Ok.Check with Bobbie.See if she knows anything while I stay
here and figure out a way to take care of Robin."
"But what about Trent?"
Jason sighed,"Ok,who the hell is Trent?"
Michael realized he hadn't mentioned him
once,"Oh,um...he's--Carly knew him.I--he's the one."Michael
told Jason.
"What do you mean,Michael?Are you saying what I think your
saying?"
"He's the one who raped mom."Michael told Jason with a sad
expression.
"Are you sure?"Jason questioned and Michael told him he
was,"Come here."Jason told Michael.Michael went to his dad
and Jason hugged him,"Don't worry,Michael.I am going to find
Carly,take care of Robin,and then figure out exactly how to
take care of Trent."Jason vowed to Michael knowing exactly
what he was going to do.
"Are you sure?"Michael whispered.
Jason pulled back,"You know me.I'll fix everything,Michael.I
promise."
Michael smiled,"I'm glad your back,Dad."
Jason grinned,"So am I.It looks like I got my work cut out
for me though."Jason told himself when Michael exited to see
what had happened to Carly.
