The gothic Carly took them to what looked like some kind of a party.Carly
looked about sixteen she was with a bunch of friends.They had a fire going
in a forest where they were.Carly was drinking with her friends and looked
as thou she was having fun the two Carly's watched as Carly got drunk and
danced around like an idot.The gothic Carly stood by the sixteen year old
Carly and she danced wildly.Carly and the angel Carly were embarrassed
by the display. The gothic Carly screamed over the blasting music,"How
do you like it Tinkerbell?!"And danced more,"Carly this is so classic!Come
on isn't this fun?!"
Carly had to laugh at the gothic Carly's display,"I was only sixteen
years old!"
The gothic Carly put a had on her hip and used her hands in a display
the music went down,"Carly do you want something a little more recent?"She
snapped and the scene was good.
"I want to why I'm here?I want to know why this one doesn't talk?"Carly
pointed to the angelic Carly,"And I also want to know what your trying
to prove to me?You want to make me see how much of a horrible person I
am?!Too late I realized it when Virginia died."Carly snapped.
"I just want you to look at these images and tell me what you could
have done different!I want you to know how horrible everyone is to you!Carly
once you see eveything it's no wonder you're the way you are!"The gothic
Carly snapped her fingers again.It was Jason and her in the limo the night
of the signing.Jason was yelling at her:
Jason and Carly are on there way home (in the limo) from the celebration
of Jax's docks project. Jason is upset that Carly told Benny to tell the
dock workers to go on strike.
Carly: "Look. I thought that your plan was to call a strike.....if
Jax signed the agreement."
Jason: (rubs his nose then starts yelling): "Well, that was before
someone got shot, and people started thinking I set it up! Carly what I
needed to do was keep my distance from everything that happened here tonight.
Maybe call the strike tomorrow even next week! But you took away my options
and you showed everyone that I had a motive for taking out Jax!"
Carly: "I didn't think about it....."
Jason: (yelling louder): "IT'S NOT YOUR JOB TO THINK FOR ME CARLY!!!
OR SPEAK FOR ME. I DON'T GIVE YOU AN EXPLANATION OF WHAT I DO AND I DON'T
EXPECT YOU TO ASK!!! You speak to my men about the house, about Michael,
about picking-up the dry-cleaning, BUT NEVER ABOUT BUSINESS. IS THAT CLEAR?!"
(Carly just looks at Jason. Jason yells louder) "IS THAT CLEAR?!?"
Carly (softly): "Yeah."
Jason: "IT BETTER BE! Because if it isn't, we have a big problem."
Carly: "I'm sorry Jason." (pauses) "I will never do anything like that
again."
Jason just stares at Carly.
Carly was looking down ashamed and crying,"That was my fault everything
was going great until I screwed it up.Jason just straighten me out."
The gothic Carly laughed sarcastically,"You see that's what everyone
wants you to think.Everyone wants you to take the blame,"She stood and
yelled,"And you take it!And when you do fight back you get in trouble it's
part of you being who you are Carly.This is what I want you to see.You
thought you had Jason and you don't so you should take Michael and run.High
tail it so he can't hurt you anymore."
Carly cried,"It's all my fault.I hurt them.I hurt them all."
The gothic Carly was growing more and more angry by the second,"Carly,Listen
to me, I know you care for Jason a great deal."
"I love him."Carly confessed.
"Fine I understand but he's in love with Robin not us Carly's.And you
do not hurt everyone.You would never hurt Michael would you?"The gothic
Carly grew sick to stomach at the thought. "No,never, not a million years!"Carly
told her.
"Ok then you have to leave Jason.He will only hurt you.He will and
can only hurt you it's the only thing he knows."The gothic Carly was getting
to Carly and the angelic Carly couldn't take it anymore.
She stood up and with fire in her eyes she shouted,"That's enough!I
can't take this anymore!Jason has been the most wonderful man you have
ever met and I won't let this pee brained,egotistical,bratty, nitwit tell
you different!"The angelic Carly knelt down so she and Carly could be face
to face,"Carly,Jason has been your angel in disguise.And Bobbie may not
be the best biological mother in the world but she does love you and she
does care.And Michael he looks at you as his loving mother and nothing
else.Carly,"She sighed,"Granted you've made a lot of mistakes but getting
rid of the man you love will be the biggest mistake yet.We're both here
because you are in a coma and she wants you to leave him but I don't.Carly,he
has been by your side the whole time,he's got Justus working on getting
you out of here when you wake up,and he promised you and Michael that as
soon as your back then you and Michael will be together again."
"Really?"Carly smiled.
"It's a trick,Carly.Everyone hates us!They owe us not the other way
around if you let Mother Teresa over her convince you otherwise you are
an even bigger fool than I thought you were!"The gothic looking Carly argued.
Carly looked at both herselves and talked to the angelic angel,"How
do I get back?"Carly took a deep breath,"How do I get back to Jason and
Michael?"
"Well you have to fight that one over there off and come with me so
I can take you to see someone before you leave."The angelic Carly explain.
"Or!Carly,you can stick with me I've gotten you this far.You trust
in me and I will get you back there at this moment.The catch is that you've
gotta take Michael and leave Jason."The gothic Carly gave her option.
"I can never leave,Jason.Never."Carly told the gothic Carly.
"Oh...well...so be it."The gothic Carly was sick of negotiating and
tackled Carly.
Meanwhile... Jason walked into Carly's room.He had just went downstairs
to have a cup of coffe he came back to find Carly was moving a little.Jason
ran to her side,"Carly!Carly are you awake?"He ran out of the room a little,"I
need a doctor."One of the nurses paged a doctor.Jason went back to Carly.
Carly moved her head a lot and whispered,"Jason."And kept repeating
herself.
"Carly.I'm right here."Jason said.
A doctor stormed in and saw Carly's pulse getting slower and slower.The
doctor called out into the hall,"She's going to flatline!"He ran into the
room and pushed Jason out of the way.He began CPR.
Jason saw her heart monitor she was not breathing,"No!Carly!"Jason
yelled and tried to wake her up.
The doctor shouted,"Someone get him out of here!"
A nurse grabbed Jason and got him out of the room.Jason protested and
yelled after Carly.The nurses kept him out.Jason started to flip.He didn't
know what to do he could see Carly dying.Bobbie ran down the hall,"Jason
what's wrong?"Bobbie looked into Carly's hospital room window,"Carly!"
Jason held Bobbie back.
Bobbie screamed,"I'm a nurse I can help!"
"No you won't do her any good ok just calm down."Jason tried to keep
calm himself.
"I took care of Tony didn't I."
"Bobbie,it wasn't the same and you know it."
Carly was still fighting with the gothic Carly.The gothic Carly was
winning.Carly sat there being choked not knowing what to do.Carly started
to remember things Jason has said to her.
"He loves you."Jason said this when Carly had told him she thought
Michael liked her,"Why are you so surprised? You feed him. You play with
him. You hold him when he cries. Carly, you're the reason good things happen
to him."
"No matter how bad it gets every day,every minute,you think about Michael.You
hold it together for him,ok?"
"I believe in you,Carly."
Carly:I want us to walk in together and impress people you know?Like
we're as good as any of them.
Jason:We are,Carly.
"You don't have to do anything for me,Carly,at all."
Carly had to at least stay alive for him.Carly got her feet on the gothic
Carly's waist and pressed with all her mite.She began to beat the crap
out of her.Finally the gothic Carly gave up,"Carly, you listen to this
and yo listen good no matter what I am always a part of you and you always
have trouble.Me."She vanished into the air.
Carly wiped the blood off the corner of her mouth and turned to the
angelic Carly,"So who do I have to see before I can go home?"Carly shrugged.
The angelic Carly smiled and helped a woman down this white staircase.Carly
smiled and ran to the woman,"Momma!"
"Hi Carly."Viginia hugged her daughter.
The doctors came out to see Jason and Bobbie,"She's alright.We got her
heart to start again and she's still hanging in there."
Bobbie and Jason sighed and in unision said,"Thank god."
Jason walked into Carly's room first and went to her side,"I knew you
wouldn't leave me,Carly."
Bobbie walked in after him and went to her heart monitor,"She looks
better than before."
"What do you mean?"Jason asked looking at Carly's complextion and everything
she looked the same.
"Her heart rate,Jason.It's stronger,"Bobbie looked over at Jason,"She's
getting stronger.
Carly stepped back from her mom's hug,"Mom your here!"
Virginia was dressed in all white and she wore a big grin on her face,"Carly,sweety
how are you?"
"Mom,I can't believe your here I missed you so much."Carly hugged her
again.
"I have a message for you."Virginia smiled.
"What message?Is it good or bad?About the Tony thing I'm sorry tell
the big guy upstairs I apologize."Carly rambled.
"Carly,"Virginia laughed,"The message is about Jason,it's good and
bad,and he's ok with the Tony thing."
"Oh,god is there something wrong with Jason?"Carly feared her mother's
answer.
"There is something wrong."Virginia took her daugther's hand,"Come
on,Carly."
"Ok."Carly walked with her mom and there was a big flash that made
Carly close her eyes.When Carly opened her eyes she was in a hospital room.She
saw herself in a hospital bed.Jason was sitting next to her resting.He
sat up in a chair next to her bed and he had her hand in his.
"He's been at your side ever since you came in."Virginia told Carly.
"He has?"Carly smiled.
"Yes he has.He's even working with Justus to get you to Michael when
you wake up."Virginia replied.
"Oh,Momma he's so perfect."Carly looked at Jason in admiration.
"He loves you,Carly."Virginia was pleased to see her daughter so happy.
"What did you say?"
"He does."
"I think your wrong,Momma."Carly was flattered but thought it was too
good to be true.
"You don't believe me.Come here."Virginia took Carly's hand again,"I'll
show what he's thinking."
Virginia had taken Carly in to Jason's dream.He was dreaming about the
time when Carly and Jason cleaned Virginia's place.The voices echoed.
(Carly,Jason,and Michael walked into Virginia's place.)
C:Ok.You see this place,Michael?This is Virginia's place.Mommy used
to live here too.
(Jason laid Mihcaels stuff on the floor and his seat on the table.)
J:You want me to take him?
C:Yeah.
J:Yeah?
C:I think he's tired.
J:Ok come here buddy.
C:Yeah.
J:Ok.(Jason laid Michael down.)
C:Mama would have hated it like this.She always use to say we should
open up the shades and let in some of that good old Florida sunshine.(She
opened the shades.)There we go just the way she liked it.(Carly sighed
and walked to the couch.)(Jason grabbed a box and followed her.)Coupons.
(Carly picked up a coupon from Virginia's table.)Give her 19 cents off
the economy size and she was the happiest woman on earth.(Carly smiled
at Jason.)
(Jason picked up a picture and smiled.)
J:Is this you?.(Jason laughed.)
C:Yes,that's me when I was eight years old.That was the first time
my mom let me swim in the ocean by myself.She got so excited she made us
go home to get the camera.(Carly giggled.
J:She sounds nice.
C:Yeah,she is.(pauses)She was.What's that saying--'You don't know what
you got until it's gone.'
J:I guess we both just learned that didn't we?
C:Yeah.I'm sorry.You probaly want to get this over with.(Carly grabbed
the box from him.)
J:No,no I don't actually.
C:Are you sure?
J:Yeah if I was home all I would be doing is catching heat for the
strike or the hit on Jax.Besides,I've never been to Florida.Maybe after
we finish here we can--we can take Michael to go see the ocean.
C:Yeah!(Carly perked up.)Get his picture taken his first time.
J:Why not?
C:Ok.So let's get to work.
J:Let's.(Jason scratched his chin just watched Carly for a mintue.)
(Jason walked around from behind the counter over to Carly who was
sitting on the couch still packing stuff and looking through a book.)
J:I'm coming over to check on you.How's it going?
C:It's ok I guess.You know what's sad,though?There's almost none of
this stuff that I want.
J:Maybe that's because the only thing you want is already gone.
C:You mean my mom?
J:Yeah.
C:You know there was something else(Carly clutched a piture in her
hands)I mean there was someone else.I had a father believe it or not.
J:You never said anything about him.
C:I don't really think about him much.It's just now you know that mom
died.
J:You know where he is?
C:No.(Carly looks at Michael.)He left when I was just little bit bigger
than Michael.I haven't seen him since.It's funny,you know,because I was
suppose to be the miracle that save their marraige.Oops.Wrong again.Ended
up being just me and mom.God,she loved me so much,Jason.Why couldn't I
see that?I mean,she adopted me,she gave me a home and she treated me like
I was her flesh and blood.And all I ever did was give her a hard time.Lie
to her all the time,sneak out in the middle of the night,curse her to her
face.It was like our whole relastionship was like I was begging her to
throw me it to prove that she made a mistake by adopting me,but she never
saw it that way.She just-she'd love me no matter what.And when she came
to Port Charles she had just the best of intentions--to her surprise her
good pal Bobbie Spencer and what did she find out?The news that I had already
been there for two years,had wrecked Bobbie's marraige,had lied to everybody
in town,had lied to her,just like always.And she tried to find some way
to deal with it,cope with it,make sense of it.And I just got into a fight
with her again.Like nothing had changed except this time--it was too much.She
couldn't take it.I killed my mother.(Carly tilts her head to stop the on
coming tears.)And I just--I don't know any way that I can make that right.
(Jason just stared at her.)
There was a flash an then Jason's next vision was seen.
J:Now,is this like when you thought you gave Michael the heart defect?You
didn't, Carly,anymore than you gave your mother a stroke, you had an arguement
sure but you didn't kill your mother.
C:When she had her first stroke,I came down here.And I helped her out.I
stayed with her for a few days.And then I went home and sent her a little
out of my paycheck every month.And she was grateful.But it's not what she
wanted,you know,I could tell.She wanted a daughter.That's what she wanted
her whole life and I never came through for her.I never told her about
Michael.(Gestures to Michael.)I never brought him to her.The last words
I said to her were "Go away".And I yelled them.
(Jason shakes his head.)
J:Yeah,but she probaly knew you didn't mean it.
C:Oh--
J:She loved you,right?She was used to you.I know you don't mean have
the stuff,you say, especially when you yelling.(Carly gives him a thank
you look but then turns her head away.)Besides mothers and daughters fight
all the time.Emily tells me about all the fights she has with Monica.
C:Yeah but mothers and daughters also make up,Jason.I never learned
how to do that.You know what scares me?I mean,what scares me the most,is
that one day Michael and I will start fighting.And we will never stop.
J:But why would you with Michael?You love him.
C:Yeah now.Look,we pick him up,we put him where we want him,we feed
him,he smiles.Everything's great.Right now.But what's going to happen when
he gets a mind of his own?And starts saying things like "No.I don't like
you anymore Mommy."I mean am I going to have the patience to keep smiling?Or
am I going to just start screaming at him and never stop?
J:Carly,you don't want to do something,you won't.
C:No,sorry,wait a mintue,you have me confused with somebody else.(Carly
laughs.)
J:Who?
C:You!You won't fight with Michael because that's not the way you operate.You
will show him things by example,and he will be proud to follow you.He's
going to look up to you,Jason.When he's fifteen,when he's twenty,the rest
of his life.(Carly looks at Jason who looks surprised.)I'm sorry I know
what your thinking right now that in fifteen or twenty years you won't
know me or Michael.
J:No.(He looked at Carly as she walked over to Michael.)I wasn't thinking
that at all.I was trying to remember fighting with people I love--why I
did it and if I could ever fight with Michael that way.(Jason stood up
and walked to the window)I never want to tell him what to do,but I don't
want him to get hurt,either.(He looked at the window.)Unless that's...Unless
that's his choice but I don't know when a kid's old enough to decide that.(Carly
gave him an understanding look and Jason started walking towards her.He
stopped at the couch and shoved his hands in his pockets.)You see,Carly,when
I started working for Sonny people said I didn't understand things.(Jason
sounded like he was going to cry.)They were right.Not that I'm sorry.Sonny
warned me up front,but he was the first person who believed me enough to
take me on my word and let me choose what I wanted.I have to do that for
Michael.I have to.But what if he chooses something that hurts him or puts
him in danger?How am I suppose to stand back and let that happen?I guess
we'll figure that out when it happens.
C:Michael--Michael won't choose anything that hurts him,Jason.You'll
advise against it and he will trust you so much he will know.Whatever his
father says is the right thing,and he will love you so much that he'll
listen.(Carly used her hands while she was talking to Jason.)And he'll
let you protect him and keep him safe.
J:Someday,he'll have to make his own choices.
C:Yeah but you'll teach him how.And when the time comes,he'll trust
himself.You know,the whole time that I was pregnant,I was running around
trying to find out the best thing to do for me and my baby...and it turned
out to be you.Thank you.
J:I wouldn't have known Michael if you hadn't shown up that night.So
I got as much as you did and maybe more.
(Carly smiled.)
C:I guess that mean I can make a good decision every now and again,huh?(Carly
messed with her necklace a little)Maybe I'm not so hopeless as a parent
after all.(Jason was looking at a book when Carly came around the side
of the couch with a box in her hands.)
There was another flash of light and Jason's next memory was shown.
C:Isn't it strange?
J:Hmm?
C:You spend half of your life accumulating things that seem so important
to you like knick knacks,pictures,and letters from special friends.And
then you die and people get rid of it in a day. J:Maybe we should take
a break.
C:Ok.Yeah.(Carly smiled.)Oh.Wow.She would have been a good granmother
for him.Now he's never even gonna see her.
J:Well,you can tell him when he's older all about her.And I can teach
him about packing boxes.(Jason joked.)
(Carly giggled.)
C:That's something for him to look forward to.
(Carly and Jason smiled at each other.)
There was another flash of light and Jason's next memory was shown.
(Jason walked over to Virginia's headstone.)
J:Carly,I found it.
(Carly walked over to where he was.)
C:It's kind of plain,don't you think?(Carly looked at the headstone.)
J:You can change it.I didn't know what to put--a date,a prayer,or something
else.
C:Definitely not a date.My mom use to say that a woman who would tell
her age would tell anything.I don't remeber her havinga favorite prayer
unless you count,"My god,Caroline.What have you done?" Maybe we could just
put that,you know, that she was my mom and Michael's grandma.(Carly and
Jason looked down at the headstone again.)
J:Sure.
C:Will it cost a lot,to change the headstone?
(Jason looked at her.)
J:Doesn't matter.
(Carly turned her attention to him.)
C:You always do that.
J:What?
C:Just give me whatever I need.Doesn't matter how difficult.
J:Your mother's headstone should be the way you want.
C:Everything else is perfect.I love that she's near the ocean.(Carly
pointed towards the ocean and walked past Jason.)She loved the ocean.Did
I ever tell you that my mom use to that a day at the beach took her troubles
away?
(He smiled.)
J:That's why I choose it.
C:That's another thing you do.You listen to me.Even when I don't listen
to myself.
J:Do you want to be alone with her?
C:I don't know.(Carly walked back towards the headstone.)Do you think
she's here?I mean,do you think that when people die they can hear it when
you talk to them?
J:Nobody knows what happens after you die.(He shrugged)But I think
that-- the part of you that loves-your soul I guess-- and that part never
ends it just goes somewhere.When people need you,you can hear them,and
maybe even help somehow.
C:Can you tell that to Michael someday?
J:That's why I take him to church.
There was one last flash and Jason had one last sceen he saw.
J:Hey.(Carly turns to him.)It's getting late.If we want to fly back
tonight we should leave pretty soon.
C:(Carly points to Michael.)Is he still asleep?
J:Asleep again.I changed and fed him.
(Carly points to Jason.)
C:Your a good father,Jason.When I found out I was adopted all I could
think about was that I had this real mother out there somewhere,but Virginia
Bensen was my real mother just like your Michael's real father.Biology
doesn't make a real family.Love does.Remember that ok?
Carly smiled,"I remember that day,"Carly sighed and walked past her
mother,"I thought things between Jason and I would change."Carly smiled
pathetically,"Surprise!Nothing changed except for the fact that I ended
up in a mental hospital and Robin is taking over my family."
Virginia looked at her daughter completely understanding why her daughter
loved this man,"Carly,on that day you talked to me while Jason left alone
for a mintue remember when you told me your life works?"
"Yeah."
"Your life works we you just live instead of trying to determine or
justify everything.You have to stop looking at the past and towards the
future.Now I am not going to tell you what holds but I'll give you a hint."
"Hint?"
"Your future is with Michael AND Jason."Virginia comforted her daughter
with this.
"Really?And Robin right?"Carly said.
"Well,I told you I can't tell you what your future holds."
"Oh yeah right."Carly looked down.
Virginia whispered to Carly,"They'll have a falling out."
Carly grinned at her mom,"Thanks,Mom."
"It's ok but you have to get back,"Virginia told her daughter.
"But we have so much catching up to do!"Carly shouted in disappointment.
"I'm around."Virginia spoke to her daughter softly,"I heard you the
last time you talked to me didn't I?"
Carly was still disappointed but happily replied to her mother,"Yea
I guess you did."
"I love Carly.You take care of yourself and try not to shoot anybody."Virginia
joked.
"Oh,I'll try."Carly laughed and her mom left.
Carly turned toward a bright light and remeber that saying don't go
towards the light!Carly giggled,"Here goes nothing."She said and walked
towards it.
Jason was awake he had woken up after his dream of that day.He looked
at Carly who was still out of it.He stroked her cheek and smiled.He watched
her silently until...
"Carly?"Jason saw her slowly open her eyes.
"Jason,"She put on an angelic smile,"There you are."
Jason was happy he didn't know what to do talk to her or get the doctor,"Yeah
here I am."
"Are you ok?"Carly questioned.
"Of course I am now that your awake."
"Good and Michael?"
"He's fine,Carly.It's you that you should be worried about."
Carly giggled,"I'm ok."
"Yeah sure.We'll let doctor tell us wheter your ok or not."
"Ok you go get him and I'll stay here."Carly suggested.
Jason laughed,"Good idea."Jason walked out into the hall and sighed
out of relief that Carly was ok.He got a doctor and the doctor went into
Carly's room.Jason grew concerned because Carly looked paniced.Jason ran
to her,"What's wrong?"
"I had your picture and Teresa's cross I have to get them back their
the only things I have it's like taking away my heart."
Jason calmed her,"Carly,it's ok I have them but since you were in the
accident they were messed up pretty bad I can take care of the cross but
you'll need a new picture."
Carly took a deep breath,"Ok."She turned her attention to the doctor,"So
am I ok?"
The doctor asked her a few questions,made sure no bones were broken,and
made sure Carly wasn't affected."Yes surprisingly it doesn't look like
you were affect at all.It's highly unusual as is what happened."
Carly couldn't remember everything,"What exactly did happen?"
"Well,a drunk driver crashed into your van and you were immediatly
affectd then the van crashed into the mountain side.You and another patient
were the only two to make it out alive.You are very lucky it's a miracle
no damage was done to you."The doctor told her.
"Thank you doctor."Jason smiled and the doctor left.
Carly waited for the doctor to leave and then said,"It was Virginia,Jason,I
know it."
"Your mother?"
"Yes,I know she's the reason I'm ok."
"Ok if that's what you think."
"Jason,what do you mean what I think?What do you think?"
"Do you really want to know what I think?"Jason asked.
"Yes!Your opinion means everything to me."
"I think it was Michael."
"Really?"
"Yes I think it was Michael."
"That could have been it,"Carly added,"And you."
"And me."Jason stated and asked at the same time.
"Yeah.So when do I have to go back to the looney bin?"Carly sighed.
"Never if I have anything to say about it."Jason smiled.
"If it was up to you I would have got out a long time ago,Jason."Carly
laughed.
"Your right.I should go call Justus.I'll be right back don't go anywhere."
"Do I have a choice?"Carly joked.
"No."Jason said and walked right outside of the room.He called Justus,"Justus?Yeah
what's the situation with Carly?"
"I don't know you tell me."
"She's awake but now we have to worry about getting her home.So what's
the situation?"
"Well,I spoke with the judge and he was very understanding in Carly's
situation."Justus explained.
"And?"
"The judge has decided to let her out on time served."Justus finally
told Jason.
Jason moved the phone so he thought Justus couldn't hear but Justus
heard Jason say,"Yes!"
Justus laughed.Jason said one last thing to Justus,"Thank you."And
hung up his phone.
Carly waited in her room looking around.Then a head peeked in.Carly
called out,"Teresa?!"
Teresa walked in,"Hey you!You had everyone worried sick.Here,"Teresa
handed Carly her cross,"I got your cross cleaned up for you it's a little
scratched but besides that it's ok."
Carly's face lit up,"Thank you.This means so much to me."
"I know.I don't know if your getting out now or not but I've been meaning
to tell you something."Teresa looked sad.
"What's wrong?"
"I quit at the mental ward.My sister has been getting sick lately and
she needs help around the house so I am going to get a job closer.I'm sorry."
Carly shed a tear,"It's ok.But you have to promise me whenever I get
out we'll be the best of friends."
"We are,Carly."
"I mean real friends you know go shopping together,watch cheesy movies,and
talk all the time instead of being in some locked up enviroment."
"I promise,Carly."
"Good."Carly nodded.
Jason walked in,"Carly,I got some great news."
"What they acheived world peace?"
"Ha ha.You can go home,Carly.As soon as I get you sprung from this
place."Jason was glad he had some good news for you.
Carly grabbed Jason and hugged him,"That's great news!"
Robin waited for Jason and Carly to walk through the door from that moment on nothing would be the same.The minute Carly smiled at Michael and put her stuff in her room Robin and Jason wouldn't be the same.Robin remembered that Jason had referred to Carly and Michael as his family lots of times.Not intentionally but she remembered.Robin and Carly had an understanding they didn't understand each other,they didn't want to know each other,and they did not get along.Robin and Carly would frequently butt heads.Robin paced the room.Jason had told her he wanted her to be on her best behavior with Carly.Robin thought it should be the other way around she was Jason's girlfriend not Carly.He loved Robin not Carly.Right?
Carly ran a hand through her hair as Jason went to go get the paper work to get her out.She felt as though things would never be good between her and Jason again.It was weird even though her mother assured her that everything was ok and that Jason and Robin would have a fight Carly still thought Jason would never feel towards her what she felt towards him.Carly wiped away a tear that had strayed from her eye and looked out the window at least she got a really good friend out of all this.
Jason was happy that Carly was coming home.He had felt like the house was empty without Carly it didn't matter how many people were there it was still empty.Jason saw how Michael seemed a little less lively since Carly was gone.He hated the way everyone tried to use Michael and Carly against him.The really bad thing was that they did get to him...in the worst way.
Carly and Jason walked to the door and Carly sighed.Jason and Carly
walked into see Robin and Latica talking.Carly smiled slightly.Latica was
more than happy to Carly.Carly and Latica talked for a mintue but Carly
had to get to Michael.Carly laid her stuff on the ground and ran upstairs
shouting,"Michael!"
Jason laughed,"She really missed him."
Robin was feeling angry,"Yeah well her fault."Robin took her coat and
blew Jason a kiss before leaving.Latica and Jason gave each other a look
and shrugged.
Carly walked into Michael's room.She burst into tears when she saw Michael
smiling up at her.Carly laughed and picked him up,"Michael,I missed you
so much.I'll never leave you again I promise."
Jason opened the door a little more to see Carly holding Michael and
slowly rocking him back and forth.Jason wanted to walk over to them and
hug them but this was their moment.Jason just listened.
Carly sat in a rocking chair in his room,"Michael,you don't know how
much I have missed you.I have been in this place where people aren't really
crazy so I told myself they were just really happy,"Michael giggled as
did Carly,"It's true.I kept a picture of you and daddy with me the whole
time.You two will never,"Carly looked Michael in his eyes,"Never know how
much you mean to me,honey."Carly hugged him,"Never.Ever."
Jason walked into the room,"How are you two doing?"
Carly's tears of happiness continued to fall,"We're just fine aren't
we,Michael?"Carly smiled at Michael.Carly sat Michael up on her lap,"You
want to her a story,Michael?A very close friend told me about this.How
her papa and mom feel in love after their wedding was already planned.Which
of course breaks all of the rules."Carly started telling the story,"Because
we all know your suppose to be in love before you get married."Jason sat
on the ground in front of her admiring the picture Carly and Michael were
setting in his head.Michael rested his head on Carly's shoulder.
Carly put Michael down for bed and walked into her room because Jason
was taking care of business downstairs.Carly looked out the window thinking
about her life it really sucked.Jason had finished his business and went
upstairs to check on Michael.Jason walked into Carly's room she was just
unpacking her few things.Jason walked in and smiled,"Hey you."
"Hey you,yourself."
"So,what you up to?"Jason asked.
"Not much to tell you the truth.Jason,can I ask you for a favor?"
"Yes sure."
"I have this totally bad craving for an ice cream cone will you come
with me?"
Jason liked the way she smiled at him,"You want it.You got it."
"Cool.Come on!"Carly grabbed his hand.
Carly and Jason went out and got the ice cream.Carly had dragged him
to the park.They ate their ice cream and walked around the park hand in
hand.Jason didn't even thin about Robin which was bad what if she showed
up?
"Well,well,if it isn't the trap and the thug.How are we today?"Someone
commented.
Carly and Jason turned to Tony Jones.
"Oh,no gun on you,Carly."Tony laughed.
Jason turned to Carly,"You want to go?"
"No I want him ruin my day.No way."She turned back to Tony,"Tony what
do you get out of bothering us?It won't get your life back.It doesn't make
you feel better.You should just try and live with your mistakes we don't
remind you about yours stop reminding us about ours."Carly was very calm.
"Carly,when did you become a shrink?When you were in the looney bin
did you read up?"Tony commented.
Jason was about to hit him but Carly stopped him,"Don't sink to his
level."
"My level trust me I am not lower than you."Tony snapped.
"You are if you have nothing better to do than bother me and Jason."
Carly and Jason got home and Justus had to have a word with Jason.Jason
and Justus went out and Carly was left without a congratulations.Carly
went over to the phone and dialed Teresa number.
Teresa answered,"Hello?"
"Hi,it's me,Carly.What you up to?"Carly asked.
"Nothing much.At least not right now."Teresa hinted.
"What's that suppose to mean?"
"Well,we are having a party tommorrow because my sister is feeling
better a lot better.I was going to call you to come.It's tommorrow night.I
could pick you up and you could bring somebody if you'd like.Like someone
who you are really fond of,someone who is very cute,and not mentioning
he stayed by your side the whole time."Teresa joked.
Carly sat in the chair and with her back to the door.Jason walked in
quitely seeing that Carly was on the phone.He heard Carly began to speak.Carly
didn't know he was in there.Carly smiled to herself,"Yeah, Jason's great
but he doesn't want to go to some party with me.Besides he'll probaly be
with Robin."
Jason want to let her know he was there but just stood in place.
Teresa felt bad for her friend,"He's still with her."
Carly looked at her nails,"Yeah he's still with her."
Teresa giggled,"And your still jealous."
"Of course I'm still jealous.I mean she's got Jason and my son likes
her.Talk about a screwed up life.Mine is the ultimate,"Carly laughed,"Sometimes,I
wish someone was just playing a horrible trick on me and that any mintue
now they'd tell me that Jason and me were really a family with Michael.You
know?Robin gone,the Quatermaines gone,and Tony in prison."Carly explained
to Teresa.
Jason heard eveything and was absolutely dumbfounded.
"The Quartermaines gone,Carly?Think about it."
"I know the Quatermaines gone who am I kidding.Well what kind of music
will they be playing?"
"My whole family is going to come and tell me how bad of a career choice
I've made die Carly you have to come!"Teresa begged.
"I'll be there don't worry."Carly agreed.
"Good I'll be over there at 7:00 tommorrow and bring it up to Jason,Carly!"
"Alright already! I bring it up to him."Carly hung up the phone and
Jason closed the door as if he had jus walked in and heard the last sentence,"Bring
what up to who?"
"Oh it's nothing just some party Teresa's family is having,"Carly placed
her hands behind her back trying to look as innocent as she could,"You
wouldn't want to go would you?"
Jason looked at her and grinned,"Sure."
"I completely understand I didn't think you'd want to go."Carly said.
"Carly,I said yes."Jason laughed.
"You did?You did.Why did you say yes?"Carly asked.
"Because you asked."
Carly smiled and hugged him,"Thank you for everything,Jason."She let
go of him and Jason was a little disappointed it didn't last long.Carly
kissed his cheek,"Your so good to me."She said and jogged upstairs.
Carly woke up and tried to figure out what she'd wear to Teresa's party.She
did find a dress she hadn't worn in awhile.She pulled it out.It was down
to her knees and had a strap that wrapped around her neck.She had to figure
out what to wear with it now.She took out the earrings and necklace that
Jason had got her.She pulled out a pair of red heels.She wasn't sure about
this party.She went to Michael's room,"I should be with you,Michael.Maybe
I shouldn't even go.What do you think?"Carly questioned Michael.
"I think you should go."Jason whispered.
Carly joked,"Wow,Michael your even starting to sound like Jason."
"So, your having second thoughts about going?"Jason smiled.
"Yeah,I mean I just got back to Michael shouldn't I stay here?"
"Carly,do you plan to going to these parties every night?"
"No."
"Ok,then I don't see the problem,"Jason looked at Michael and back
at Carly,"Right after tonight you'll probaly spend every mintue with Michael.He'll
forgive you for one night."Jason told Carly.
"Maybe your right.Thanks."
"No problem,Carly.So I'm guessing here is this a formal party."Jason
joked.
"Exactly.Everyone will be wearing suits and sipping wine."Carly laughed,"Just
dress like you usually do.Hmm I guess it's formal either way."Carly patted
him on the chest and left the room.
"You'll forgive us forgive us for one night right?"Jason asked Michael.
It was almost time to leave.Carly put on her outfit and walked downstairs
and Jason was sitting there in some old suit when Carly had just got him
a new one.
"Jason!What are you wearing?"Carly said annoyed.
"A suit,Carly."
"Oh no you don't!"Carly stood him up and started shoving him to his
room,"I want to impress these people,now change."Carly closed Jason's bedroom
door behind her and walked out. Jason sat on his bed thinking about how
nice she looked he laughed at his thought and started to change.
Carly waited in the front room.She thought that this was sort of like
date but knew it wasn't true.Robin and Jason were still together.Robin
hadn't come back to the penthouse since last night but she saw them as
still together.Carly went to Jason's room he had just hung up the phone.He
turned to Carly,"Carly?You ok?"
Carly's felt her heart sink he had probaly just talked to Robin,"I
was just thinking I have to call Teresa and tell her I'm not coming."
"Why?What's wrong?"Jason got concerned.
"I'm just not feeling ok.I'm going to go up to my room."Carly said
and walked away quickly.She got out from Jason's view and ran up to her
room.
Jason went after her,"Carly,what is it?"Jason knocked on her door.
"Nothing,I just don't feel that well."
"Can I help?"Jason said through the door.
"I don't want to talk about it."Carly curled up into a ball on her
bed.
"Ok.I hope you feel better."Jason left.
Carly whispered,"Whatever."
Carly woke up and went downstairs and there was a knock at the door.Carly
opened the door to Robin.Robin walked in,"Where's Jason?"
"Come on in,Robin."Carly closed the door behind Robin.
"You know,Carly,I have no idea what you think is going on between you
and Jason but this little date you guys had last night is not going to
make him stop loving me.Ever,you are nothing like me."Robin snapped.
"Thank god,"Carly laughed,"Listen,Robin,it was not a date and Jason
and I didn't go."
"Why?"
"Because I didn't feel well.Now you can go do what you got to do with
Jason!I am going to take Michael to the park."Carly walked upstairs and
got both herself and Michael ready to go.
Robin waited for Carly to leave.Robin gave Carly a dirty look.Carly
rolled her eyes and walked out with Michael in her arms.Robin walked back
to Jason's room.Robin kissed Jason awake.Jason was having some dream about
Carly.He smiled thinking Carly was kissing him in his dream so he kissed
back.He opened his eyes to Robin.
Robin pulled back,"Hey you."
Jason sat up,"Robin.Hi."
Robin felt a little rejected,"You don't sound too happy to see me."
"I am."Jason said not to enthusiastic.
"Well,maybe we can spend the day together,now that Carly is gone."Robin
kissed him again.
Jason only heard Carly is gone,"What?"
"I know you'll be mad but Carly and I had a little fight."Robin sighed.
Jason jumped out of bed and started getting dressed,"Your right I'm
mad."
Robin stood up,"Where are you going?"
"To find her."Jason said putting on his shirt.
"She's going to be at the park with Michael.It's no big deal she'll
get over it."Robin tried to make Jason stay with her.She knew his feelings
were changing towards Carly.
"What did you tw argue about?"Jason asked.
"Uh!"Robin exclaimed,"You!Ok.Carly is going to change your mind about
us."Robin said frusrated.
"She didn't change my mind about us,"Jason opened his bedroom door,"You
did."Jason slammed the door behind him.
Carly had a blanket laid down on the grass where she sat with Michael.Johnny
was with them.Carly smiled at Michael.He could always make her happy.Michael
looked up at her grinning and kicking his feet.Carly tickled him.Carly
stroked his hair and laughed.Michael was her reason for living.Jason didn't
count hw didn't love her back.Carly started to feed Michael,"So,much for
Grandma Virginia's fortune telling.Huh,Michael?Yeah."Carly said sadly.
"Good he's still awake."Jason whispered in Carly's ear.
"Jason!"Carly was so happy to see him,"What are you doing here?"
"I came to see,Michael."Jason rubbed Michael's tiny hand,"And you."Jason
took Carly's hand in his.
Carly was surprised but gripped his hand and kissed him quickly on
the lips,"Maybe my mom was right."
"Virginia?About what?"Jason said thinking about the kiss Carly had
just gave him it was short but meant a lot to both of them.
"It's a long story."Carly laughed.
"We have all the time in the world."Jason told her.
